Pre-purchase exams are offered through our practice to assist the potential buyer in making an informed decision when looking at a prospective purchase.  The exam includes a complete physical exam, evaluating every organ system including neurologic, cardiovascular, pulmonary, musculoskeletal, ophthalmic, external genitalia and an overall health status of the horse.  In addition, a lameness exam with gait evaluation and flexion tests is performed to assess the horse’s ability to perform for the potential buyer.  Other services such as endoscopy, radiographs, ultrasound, Coggins test, blood work, drug screen, etc. are available upon request in addition to the exam.
